Assignment: Nutrition Research Project titled "The Effects of Maternal Caffeine Consumption on the Outcome of the Child"
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment was to learn the steps in developing a research study and use anthropometric, biochemical, clinical, or diet components as part of the study design.
Why I included this work sample: This project focuses on mothers which is a population of interest to me.
What I learned from this project: This assignment exposed me to different types of research study designs and emphasized the need to identify a gap in the literature when creating a new study.

Why I included this work sample: This proposal shows my ability to succeed while working in a group.
What I learned from this project: Grant writing is a detailed process with many steps. Writing a grant takes time and close attention to detail for the proposal to succeed.
